Recent Projects

Port Biological Survey Training - Western Indian Ocean The IOI-SA participated in the delivery of a training course from 16-19 April 2010 in Mauritius, for the Agulhas & Somali Currents Large Marine Ecosystem (ASCLME) Project aiming to build capacity in the Western Indian Ocean countries for conducting biological surveys, especially in port areas where new species introductions may be occurring. The Government of Mauritius hosted the event, and presented their plans to continue with a large survey within the next year.
